I went to this school and my parents thought I had Asperger syndrome but the school and headteacher ignored them and dismissed their concerns. I could have had help a lot earlier on if the teachers had fairly listened to our family. The headteacher patronised my parents in a way that made them feel like the headteacher was putting herself in a superior position and making it seem like my parents had no idea what they were talking about. This was incredibly hurtful and was never apologised for. My friend was bullied by a teacher for the year she was in her class and later found out that for several continuing years 1 student from each class was picked out by this teacher and picked on as an "example", or purely to be mean. All of the parents who raised the issue of this teacher were blown off despite the overwhelming evidence. Some parents thought this may have been for economic concerns being placed at a higher priority of the emotional well-being of their students. This was never rectified or apologised for by the institution.A reoccurring theme endorsed by various teachers was the comparison of students to one another. Children were constantly made to feel less valued than each other as others were favoured for their "talents," which completely dismissed any achievements of the others. Very disappointed in this school. Needs major improvement.
